Wilma Unruh

Wilma Edith Unruh, 87, of McPherson, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. She was a homemaker.

Wilma was born on November 14, 1921, in Miltonvale, Kansas, the daughter of Will and Edith (Corn) Lyne. She was raised on a farm in Cloud County, Kansas and graduated from Miltonvale High School. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Deemer D. Unruh in McPherson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2003.

Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church, McPherson.

The funeral service will at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 10, at the First Christian Church with Dr. John A. Gran officating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: daughter, Dea Carlson of Kearney, MO; son, Tim Unruh of McPherson, KS; brother, Charles Lyne of Gladstone, MO; grandchildren, Amy Beach, Chellie Carlson, Brad Carlson, Will Unruh, Jenny Unruh, and Lauren Unruh.
