William Seiler

William H. "Bill" Seiler, 87, of McPherson and formerly of Emporia, died Monday, January 16, 2006, at The Cedars Health Care Center. He was a retired Professor of History at Emporia State Teacher's College (now ESU) from 1948 to 1983 and was Chairman of the Division of Social Sciences from 1958 to 1978.

A private family memorial service will be held in Emporia, KS at a later date.

Survivors include: two sons, William H. Seiler, Jr. of McPherson, KS and James R. Seiler of Overland Park, KS; a brother, James Bristol of Waukon, IA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eulalia K. Seiler, on October 20, 1990.
