William Parks

William R. "Bill" Parks, 66, of McPherson, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Hutchinson Care Center, Hutchinson, KS. Bill was born on July 11, 1943, in McPherson, the son of Monette M. and Dorothy M. (Frye) Parks. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1961 and also attended Emporia State University. On December 13, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda Suzanne Wray in McPherson. He was a retired machinist for American Maplan. He also worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart and a bus driver for Multi-Community Diversified Services (MCDS).

Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McPherson.

A visitation/gathering will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present during this time.

Survivors include: his wife, Suzanne of the home; son, Joshua Parks and wife, Anita, of McPherson, KS; daughter, Amber Green and husband, Kelly, of Lawrence, KS; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monette M. and Dorothy M. (Frye) Parks.
