Wesley A. Dirks, 77, of Inman, KS, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, surrounded by family at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired farmer, poultry producer, and carpenter.
Wes was born on September 22, 1944, in Bonners Ferry, ID, the son of Noah K. and Martha Mae (Butts) Dirks. He was united in marriage to Corinne Rose Reimer on July 14, 1968, at the Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Inman, KS.
Survivors include: his wife, Corinne; four sons, Darin (Jana) Dirks of Inman, KS, Gregory (Becky) Dirks of Morven, NC, Anthony “Tony” (Sharon) Dirks of McVeytown, PA, and Trevor (Kristin) Dirks of Windom, KS; six siblings, Wilma Friesen of Almena, WI, Jeraldine (Odes) Unruh of Bonners Ferry, ID, James (Marty) Dirks of Creston, BC, Canada, Linda (Delmar) Ensz of Inman, KS, Elizabeth (John) Holdeman of Bonners Ferry, ID, and Alice (Glen) Isaac of Bonners Ferry, ID; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Inman, KS. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Burial will follow at Zion Church Cemetery.
