Warren Lee Vogel

Warren Lee Vogel, 75, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. Warren retired from Johns Manville where he worked in the warehouse.

Warren was born on November 16, 1942, in Marion, KS, the son of Roland, Sr. and Leah (Hopp) Vogel. He graduated from Marion High School. He also attended and played basketball at Hutchinson Community College and University of Arkansas. On August 26, 1962, Warren was united in marriage to Carol Sue Conyers in Marion, KS.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: his wife, Carol of the home; two sons, Stan Vogel and wife, Shelley, of Bartlesville, OK and Matt Vogel and wife, Annette, of Warsaw, MO; sister-in-law, Sonja Vogel of Chanute, KS; and four grandchildren, Garret (Melissa) Vogel, Katelyn Vogel, Abigail Vogel, and Rachel Vogel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Vogel, Sr. and Leah Carnahan, and brother, Roland Vogel, Jr.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 28, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff and Rev. Darren Frazier officiating. The inurnment will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at Claney Cemetery, Marion, KS.
