Wade Ward Miller, 95, died Friday, December 7, 2007, at his home in McPherson. He was a retired mechanic and welder and had owned & operated Miller's Automotive Electric, Inc.
Wade was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, flying many missions into China and Burma.
On June 1, 1941, he married Lucile Marie Fairchild in McPherson, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2001.
Wade was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion Post #24 Life Member, McPherson Historical Society Life Member, Past Noble Grand of I.O.O.F. Lodge #376, Myrtle Rebekah Lodge #86, B.P.O.E. #502, and a life member of the Hump Pilots Association.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 10, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Survivors include: two sons, Gerald Miller of McPherson, KS and Warren Miller of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter, Sharon Bosley of Arlington, TX; a brother, Frank D. Miller of Wichita, KS; a sister, Lois Collins of Sedalia, MO; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister, Edna Berryman.
