W. Vincent

W.F. "Dean" Vincent, 76, of McPherson, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. Dean was born on Dec. 22, 1931, in rural Miltonvale, Kansas, the son of Orval J. and Edith P. (Adams) Vincent. Dean served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired Chief of Police for the McPherson Police Dept.

The memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will take place prior to the memorial service at 1:00 PM Thursday at the McPherson Cemetery (open to family and friends) with military burial honors by the McConnell Air Force Base. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: Dean's sons and their wives: Richard & Cheryl and Gregory & Donna; grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, Rebecca, and David; great-grandchildren, Maegan, Tyler, & Addyson; his uncle, Gerlald Vincent; the Lewis family and Clarice Graves. Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. (Lewis) Vincent, on October 5, 2006.
