Virginia Moraine

Virginia A. Moraine, 77, of McPherson, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Angel Arms in McPherson. She was a McPherson resident since 1954 and had worked at the Dillon's store in the pharmacy and grocery departments.

She was born December 3, 1934, in Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Harold E. and Mary A. (Field) Humerickhouse. Virginia graduated from Central Academy in McPherson and was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

On December 21, 1952, she married Bearl G. Moraine in Ottawa, KS.

Survivors include: her husband, Bearl of the home; a son, David Moraine (Lorraine) of McPherson; a daughter, Barbara Wilson (Ken) of Omaha, NE; a brother, Arthur Humerickhouse (Dean) of El Cajon, CA; a sister, Berneta McCartney of Ponca City, OK; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Paul, a brother, Robert Humerickhouse, and a sister, Marian Meyer.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 1, at the Free Methodist Church in McPherson. Rev. Deborah Somerville and Rev. Tom Mayse will officiate the service. There will be no visitation. In accordance with the deceased's wishes, her body was donated to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Inurnment will take place in McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
