Virginia "Jinny" Baker

Virginia Lee "Jinny" Baker, 79, of McPherson, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was a retired floral designer, interior decorator, and sign painter.

Virginia was born on January 20, 1932, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Loy Earl and Stella Irene (Kehl) Railsback. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1949, Salt City Business College, and Brown-Mackie Business College.

Survivors include: son, Stanley Baker of Newton, KS; daughters, Kayla Holler of McPherson, KS and Paulette Todd of Miltonvale, KS; sister, Shirley Goberish and husband, John, of Aliquippa, PA; sister-in-law, Lenora Cain of Newton, KS; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one niece, six nephews; and several great-nieces & great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Dewey Cain, a daughter, Angela, a sister, La Mae Railsback, and three brothers, Richard Railsback, Bill Cain, and Don Cain.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 9, 2011, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Father Allen Scheer officiating. An inurnment of cremains will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina, KS.
