Virgal Wiebe

Virgal G. Wiebe, 72, of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. He was a farmer and dairyman.

Virgal was born on August 18, 1937, in Goessel, KS, the son of Jacob P. and Mary (Friesen) Wiebe. He graduated from the Monitor Grade School near Conway, KS. On March 19, 1967, he was united in marriage to Marlene Ensz at the Zion Church in Inman, KS.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Inman, Kansas) with Ministers Maynard Koehn, Gregg Johnson, and Ransom Wiebe officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, at the Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: wife, Marlene of the home; sons, Kent Wiebe (Rachelle) of Aldama, Tamps., Mexico and Tony Wiebe (Rayma) of McPherson, KS; daughters, Jerilyn Kanagy (Nathan) of Westgate, IA, Carolee Rapson (Dave) of Hawkeye, IA, Denise Wiebe of Rochester, MN, and Cindy Schultz (Anthony) of Fredonia, KS; brother, Loren Wiebe (Grace) of Clayton, WI; sister-in-law, Anita Wiebe, of Ithaca, MI; and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Maynard Wiebe.
