Troy Collins

Troy D. Collins, 48, of Eureka and formerly of McPherson, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near El Dorado, Kansas. Troy was born in Salina, Kansas, the son of Delmar Alfonso and Betty Jean (Gaston) Collins. He had lived in McPherson County, KS most of his life. Troy graduated from Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado.He served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne as a Paratrooper, serving in the Middle East.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Renz officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in the McPherson Cemetery with Military Burial Honors.

Survivors include: former wife, Lori Lyons of McPherson, KS; sons, Elijah Collins of Newton, KS, Andrew Collins of McPherson, KS, and Troy Collins, II of McPherson, KS; daughter, Holly Walline and husband, Johnathon, of Topeka, KS; half-brothers, Gary Martindale of Frazier, PA and Jim Martindale of Philadelphia, PA; half-sisters, Sandy Easley of Wenatchee, WA and Janice Garrison of Baltimore, MD; and two grandchildren.
