Timothy Witte

Timothy J. Witte, 30, of Culver and formerly of Salina and McPherson, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center. He was a fabricator & welder for Premier Pneumatics in Salina and was a self-employed roofing contractor.

Tim was born on July 23, 1981, in Gothenburg, NE, the son of Richard Dean and the late Cathay Lynn "Suz" (McCance) Witte. He graduated from McPherson High School in 2000 and attended Hutchinson Community College Vocational School. Tim was a member of Combative Arts of Salina.

Survivors include: parents, Rick & Tammy Witte of McPherson, KS; children, Sadie, Cameron, Tyler, & McKenzie; brother, Jamie Witte (Becky) of Marquette, KS; sisters, Kelli Witte of Salina, KS, Tisha Rein of Minot, ND, Kelcie Underwood (Kyle Erbert) of McPherson, KS; and grandparents, Jaynet McCance-Monson (Don) of Crawford, NE and Pete & Betty Witte of Chadron, NE. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suz Witte, and grandfather, Charley McCance.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson with Rev. Karen Rice-Ratzlaff officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Inurnment of the cremains will take place at a later date.
