Terry Widener

Terry Lee Widener, 62, of McPherson, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at McPherson Hospital. He was a construction contractor.

Terry was born on December 13, 1949, in Winfield, KS, the son of Clarence E. and Maxine Pearl (Gurnee) Widener. He graduated from Winfield High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. On June 3, 1983, he was united in marriage to Amy L. Widener at Ponca City, OK. He attended the Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Amy of the home; son, Micheal Morris (Kyndra) of McPherson, KS; brother, Linnie Widener of Winfield, KS, Jeff Widener (Kathleen) of Winfield, KS, Cody Widener of Arkansas City, KS, and Ricky Widener of Winfield, KS; sister, Cinda Adams (Boyd) of Winfield, KS; three grandchildren, Paige, Pollux, and Kastor, all of McPherson; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry Widener, and a sister, Kelly Sanders.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
