Teresa R. Koehn

Teresa R. Koehn, 60, of Canton, KS and lifetime McPherson County resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018, surrounded by family at Newton Medical Center, Newton, KS. She retired from McPherson Post Office where she had worked as a mail clerk for over 20 years.

Teresa was born on December 15, 1957, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Carl E. and Veola “Vi” M. (Mills) Carlson. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1976. On September 18, 1976, Teresa was united in marriage to Donald D. Koehn in McPherson, KS.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson and former member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Survivors include: her husband of 42 years, Don of the home; two sons, Cody (Michele) Koehn of Gypsum, KS and Nick (Alicia) Koehn of Fort Scott, KS; parents, Carl and Vi Carlson of McPherson, KS; brother, Randy (Renee) Carlson of McPherson, KS; and three grandchildren, Wyatt, Hunter, and Scarlett Koehn.

She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Gus & Katie Koehn, grandparents, Elmer & Beulah Mills and Alvin & Ruth Carlson, and step-grandmother, Kathryn Carlson.

The visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The graveside service will be at 9:30 AM, Thursday, September 27, at Lone Tree Cemetery, Galva, KS, with Minister Orville Koehn officiating followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM, Thursday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson with Rev. Harry Grinstad and Rev. Tim Leaf officiating.
