Steve Miller

Stephen Allen “Steve” Miller, 69, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.  He was a former owner and operator of Miller's Pre-owned Autos in McPherson.

Steve was born on December 29, 1954, in Wichita, KS, the son of Berniece Ann (Burdick) and Charles Vincent Miller, Sr.  He graduated from Olathe High School.  On June 23, 2007, Steve was united in marriage to Judith D. Spaich at Pete’s Puddle in Harvey County, KS.

Steve served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1972 to 1975.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post #2715 and was currently serving on the Military Burial Honors Team.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Judi; step-son, Damon Newpher (Jolie) of Ellicottville, NY; granddaughter, Aviena Newpher of Ellicottville, NY; siblings, Michael Miller of Gardner, KS, Barney Miller (Janie) of St. Louis, MO, Donald Miller of Fort Myers, FL, and David Miller (Desiree) of Bucyrus, KS; and several nieces & nephews and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Miller and his wife, Rose, and two sisters, Judith Ellis and Susan Cole. 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at  VFW Post #2715, 120 S. Taft, McPherson.  Full Military Honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM.
