Stanley Ewert

Stanley D. Ewert, 69, of McPherson, died Saturday, January 20, 2007, at his home, McPherson. He was born January 19, 1938, in Marion, Kansas, the son of Samuel and Linda (Thimm) Ewert. He graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Kansas. With a degree in Journalism, he graduated from Bethel College in Newton, Kansas. He was retired from Memorial Hospital, where he had worked for 17 years in the housekeeping department. He had lived in McPherson since 1987, formerly of Great Bend and Newton.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, January 26, 2007, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

His survivors include: his sister-in-law, Dixie Ewert of Great Bend, Kansas; nephew, Mike Ewert of Bella Vista, Arkansas; nieces, Linda Heitland of Ferguson, Missouri and Pat Koch of McPherson, Kansas; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Margery Bledsoe, and two brothers, Howard Ewert and Ollie Ewert.

Memorial donations may be given to the McPherson Public Library in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home.
