Sherlene Schoonover

Sherlene M. Schoonover, 69, of McPherson, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. She was the former owner & operator of J.D.’s Kwikburger in McPherson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation will take place following the visitation. Inurnment of the cremains will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 18, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt.

Survivors include: two grandchildren, Amber Schoonover of El Dorado, KS and Justin Schoonover of Hays, KS; two brothers, Bill Atkinson (Sue) of Little Elm, TX and Robert Atkinson of Herington, KS; several nieces & nephews including Melissa Sechler (Steve) of McPherson, KS; and a brother-in-law, Arvin Unruh of Moundridge, KS.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Rodney & Scott Schoonover, two brothers, Darrel & Junior Atkinson, and a sister, Delores Unruh.
