Scott Paul Neufeld, 40, formerly of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his home in Grove, OK. He died following complications of a recent surgery.
Scott was born on January 19, 1982, in Newton, KS, son of Paul Stanley Neufeld and Rhonda Kay (Epp) Neufeld. He attended Hillsboro and McPherson High Schools.
His vocations consisted of factory worker, skilled laborer, and construction worker. He struggled with health issues and addictions throughout his life. He dearly loved his only daughter, Kristin Neufeld, even from a distance.
Scott joined God’s family at an early age. He enjoyed his early childhood life on the family dairy farm in northeast Marion County, KS.
Scott married Jennifer Noriega November 6, 2004. Kristin Holly Neufeld was born to them on April 27, 2007.
Scott is now in the presence of his Lord, completely healed from his illnesses, addictions, and struggles.
He is survived by: his parents, Stan & Carla Neufeld of McPherson, KS and Rhonda Liles of Grove, OK; three sisters, Laura (Dustin) Hendricks of Canton, KS, Amy (Josh) White of McPherson, KS and Megan (Roby) Levika of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Daniel Word of Wichita, KS; former spouse, Jennifer Musinski and daughter, Kristin Neufeld, of Junction City, KS; nephews, Cohen Hendricks, Cade Hendricks and Otto White; nieces, Harper White and Mia Levika; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin & Ruth Neufeld of Hillsboro, KS, Loren & Jean Cooper of Wichita, KS, Mary Hastings of Lincoln, NE, Ruben & Freda Epp of Henderson, NE, brother, Kevin Neufeld of Downers Grove, IL, and cousin, Nathan Wall of Salem, CA.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 29, 2022, at Countryside Covenant Church, 940 E. Northview Ave., McPherson, KS 67460, with Rev. Jeremy Bower officiating. Private family inurnment will be in McPherson Cemetery.
