Ruth Willard

Ruth Evelyn Willard, 88, of McPherson and formerly of Jonesboro, IN,Eldorado Springs, MO, Siloam Springs, AR, St. Joseph, MO, Marion, IN, Miller, MO, and Jefferson City, MO, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at The Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson. Ruth, the daughter of Henry and Mary Kahlstorf, was born February 18, 1918, at Laporte, Minnesota. On September 3, 1952, she was united in marriage to Paul W. Willard at Laporte, MN.

Survivors include: her husband, Paul of the home; sons, Dave Willard of McPherson, James Willard of Colorado Springs, CO, and Dan Willard of Wichita, KS; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanie Lee Cox, grandson, James D. Willard, brothers, Arnold, Ervin, Orlen, Elmer, Lloyd, & Alfred Kahlstorf, and sister, Gertrude Snyder.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at 10:30 AM at the Free Methodist Church, McPherson with Pastor Tom Griffith officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2006, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
