Rosemary Kasey

Rosemary Kasey, 92, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, surrounded by family at Brookdale McPherson. She was a homemaker.

Rosemary was born on July 12, 1923, in Lyons, KS, the daughter of James and Lora (Maxwell) Pattison. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1941. On October 2, 1942, Rosemary was united in marriage to Bruce Duguid. He died in 1945, a casualty of the World War II . She married Duane S. Kasey on May 4, 1947, in McPherson. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2002.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: daughter, Marilyn Miller of McPherson, KS; son, Gregg Duguid (Kathie) of Topeka, KS; brother, Wilbur Pattison (Ruthe) of Harlan, IA; four grandchildren, Lora Wiley (David) of Lawrence, KS, Jamie Needham (Jeff) of Kansas City, MO, Scott Unruh (Shannon) of Galva, KS, and Chris Unruh (Maggie) of Olathe, KS; ten great-grandchildren, Asa Wiley, Elise Wiley, Jordan Unruh, Bailey Unruh, Benjamin Unruh, Jonathan Unruh, Lily Unruh, Cole Unruh, Jack Needham, and Silas Needham.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Quentin Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, January 18, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
