Ronald Dean Hazelwood, 77, of Marquette and formerly of Lindsborg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Riverview Estates, Marquette. He was the owner & manager of Hazelwood Paper Box Co. and had managed Century Manufacturing, Lindsborg, retiring in 1998. He also had served in the Army National Guard for six years.
Ron was born on July 10, 1937, in Topeka, KS, the son of Henry Udell and Shirley Madlin (Marriott) Hazelwood. He graduated from Salina Central High School. On July 11, 1957, Ron was united in marriage to Patricia Mae Kaiser in Wichita, KS.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia (Patty) of the home; sons, Ronald Dee Hazelwood of Marquette, KS and Terry Lee Hazelwood, and wife, Rachelle, of Salina, KS; daughter Lisa Marie Hanson and husband, Rob, of Omaha, NE; brother, David Hazelwood of Concordia, KS; sister-in-law, Jean Gust and husband, Jim, of Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and faithful dog companion, Daisy Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family graveside service will take place in the Marquette Cemetery at a later date.
