Roger Curtis Krase, DDS, 77, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, surrounded by family at his home in McPherson. He was a retired dentist.
He was born on November 13, 1940, in Kingman, KS, the son of Lloyd C. and Beth M. (Hart) Krase. He graduated from Cheney High School in 1958, Friends University in 1962, and UMKC School of Dentistry in 1968. Roger was united in marriage to Sandra Jean Ebbs on May 30, 1965, in Nevada, MO.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Roger was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Gideons International, and Pro-Life Kansas.
Survivors include: wife, Jean of the home; three children, Gretchen Moore (L.G.) of Olathe, KS, Heather Krase-Minnick (Brad) of Lecompton, KS, and Quincy Krase (Kim) of Galva, KS; siblings, Owen “Kris” Krase (Diana) of Wichita, KS, Lloyd Gene Krase (Judy) of Lenexa, KS, and Nancy Krase (companion, Reggie Littleton) of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Samantha Moore, Jake Moore, Gannon Minnick, Bennett Minnick, Emma Krase, and Rory Cane Krase.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Myrna Sue Blagg and Bob Krase.
A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Crossroads Assembly of God Church with Pastors Terry Turner and David Case officiating. In accordance with Roger’s wishes, his body was donated to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Inurnment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Norwich, KS at a later date.
