Robert Lynn Van Pelt Jr.

Robert Lynn Van Pelt, Jr., 44, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021, surrounded by family at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. He worked at The Cedars as a facility maintenance technician.

Rob was born on June 4, 1977, the son of Robert Lynn Van Pelt, Sr. and Carla (Hofflinger) Van Pelt. He attended McPherson High School. On April 30, 2016, Rob was united in marriage to Somer (Priddy) Turley in McPherson, KS.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Somer of the home; children, Dylan Van Pelt of Freeman, SD, Sierra Van Pelt of Oskaloosa, KS, Alexia Van Pelt of McPherson, KS, Nadia Turley (Madison Servaes) of McPherson, KS, and Vailyn Turley of McPherson, KS; mother, Carla Van Pelt of McPherson, KS; sisters, Tiffani Van Pelt of McPherson, KS and Nyssa Van Pelt of McPherson, KS; one grandson; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and uncle, Randy Van Pelt.
