Robert F. Schletzbaum

Robert F. Schletzbaum, 82, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his residence in McPherson. 

Bob was born on April 19, 1940, the son of Fayne E. and Elsie A. (Ring) Schletzbaum. 

He was a faithful member of King’s Hiway Baptist Church, McPherson.  Bob had a heart for animals, especially for dogs, and would help them, sometimes anonymously, in times of need.

Survivors include: his sister-in-law, Genevieve Schletzbaum of Inman, KS; a niece, Christy Craig of Nocona, TX; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Monitor Church Cemetery, Conway with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 26, at King’s Hiway Baptist Church, McPherson with Pastor Jim Talbert officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fayne and Elsie Schletzbaum; and three brothers, Ross and Jack who gave their lives in the service of their country during WWII, and Ted who passed away February 6, 2021.
