Robert Meis

Robert F. Meis, 66, of Galva, died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was a retired electrician, having worked at Abbott Labs for over 20 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Graveside service will be at 2:30 PM Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Russell, KS. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The family will be present from 5:00 PM until the conclusion of the Rosary.

Survivors include: two sons, Duane Meis of Hutchinson and Daren Meis of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Debra Malcom of Haysville, KS and Denise Garner of Tulsa, OK; his father, Edmund Meis of Hays, KS; three brothers, Ernest Meis of Catherine, KS, Paul Meis of Salina, KS, and Harold Meis of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Sister Ronald Meis of Hays, KS; and two granddaughters, Ashley and Amber of Haysville, KS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann (Pozalek) Meis, his mother, Amelia C. (Miller) Meis, and a brother, Herbert Meis.
