Robert G. Hoppes

Robert “Bob” G. Hoppes, 84, of Galva, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. He managed the Co-Ops in Belmont and Durham and was a sales manager for Southeast Publications.

Bob was born on April 5, 1936, in Longton, KS, the son of Ivan T. and Agnes B. (McConnell) Hoppes. He graduated from Chase High School (Chase, KS). On December 3, 1955, Bob was united in marriage to Lois Elaine Partington in Chase.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 65 years, Lois of the home; three children, Robert, Jr. (Debbie) Hoppes of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Danny (Teresa) Hoppes of Inverness, FL, and Jeff Hoppes of Galva, KS; a sister, Carol Brooks of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dalbert Hoppes, and a sister, Norma Donovan.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Empire Cemetery in Galva, KS.
