Richard D. “Rick” Moss, 63, of Windom, KS, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River, KS. He had worked at Central Plastics in McPherson, was a construction worker & carpenter, and was a delivery truck driver for N. Glantz & Son (a sign supply company) in the Kansas City area. He also worked as a maintenance person for Windom Township.
He was born November 10, 1956 in Kermit, TX, the son of Neal and Elizabeth (Powers) Moss. He graduated from Bushton (KS) High School and earned an Associate Degree from Hutchinson Junior College.
On August 5, 1978, he married Jeanne “Ann” Lindstrom at the Andover Lutheran Church near Windom, KS. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2015.
Survivors include: a daughter, Alisha Rice of Gladstone, MO; grandson, Jordan Rice of Gladstone, MO; siblings, Donna Dent (Jack) of Cameron, TX, John Moss (Rose) of Chandler, TX, and Sharon Turner (Vincent) of Penelope, TX.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he was also preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 4, at the Windom Cemetery, Windom, KS with Rev. Sheri Ellwood officiating. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Reno County, Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, or Andover Lutheran Church in care of Stockham Family Funeral home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
