Richard Earl Keim, Jr., 53, of McPherson, KS, and formerly of New Jersey, California, and Hawaii, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, surrounded by family at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Richard was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during Operation Desert Storm. He was a former police officer for the City of McPherson from 1997 to 2018, and was most recently a Senior Production Operator for Pfizer in McPherson.
Richard was born on April 8, 1969, in Trenton, NJ, the son of Richard Earl Keim, Sr. and Gail Etta (Trebil) Keim. He attended Hutchinson Community College. On March 17, 2012, Richard was united in marriage to Holly M. Steinert in McPherson.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Holly Steinert-Keim of the home; children, Amanda Duever (Corey) of Sarasota, FL, Amber Keim of McPherson, KS, Adalynn Keim and Ashlynn Keim, both of the home; step-sons, Isaac Linscheid and Ethan Linscheid, both of McPherson, KS; mother-in-law, Sheila Smith of McPherson, KS; siblings, Paula Entwistle (Mark), Scott Hays, Lori Jones (Chris), and Gail Engle (Charlie); and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Hays.
A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Pattison officiating.
