Ralph Walters

Ralph C. Walters, 78, of McPherson, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. He was born November 28, 1928, in Chanute, Kansas, the son of Harry J. and Mae (Foster) Walters. He graduated from high school and junior college at Chanute, Kansas. He served in the Army National Guard for two years. On June 26, he married Dorothy J. Brehm at Wichita, Kansas. He worked for Farmer's Alliance Insurance Company as an Assistant Claims Manager, retiring in 1993, after 31 years.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW Men's Auxiliary, B.P.O.E. #502, Masonic Lodge #172, York Rite, Isis Shrine, and Oriental Chapter #58-Order of the Eastern Star.

The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 21, 2007, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy of the home; son, John Walters of McPherson, KS; daughter, Lorie Pope of California; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pearl Schauner and Edna Sears.
