Phillip Olson

Phillip Wayne Olson, 63, was born October 15, 1948. He was a former resident of McPherson, Kansas and passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, due to injuries sustained in a fall earlier that day.

Phil was a Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was active in restaurant & club management in Colorado, California, and Kansas. Since his retirement, he had been involved in mentoring at-risk youth in an after school 21st Century Community Learning Center program in Hope, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Louise Olson. Phil is survived by his three brothers, Stan, Don, and Gary and their spouses, as well as many other relatives, friends, and others dear to him.

Family and friends will gather from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Holiday Manor Hotel Convention Center in McPherson. All are welcome.
