Perry Alden Taylor, 73, of Augusta, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a former resident of Roxbury, McPherson, and St. John.
Perry was born on July 1, 1942, the son of Alva LeRoy and Alma Lee (Poe) Taylor. He spent his formative years in Roxbury and graduated from Roxbury High School in 1962.
Survivors include: four children, Gayla Stout of Augusta, KS, Duane Taylor of Augusta, KS, Delton Taylor and wife, Rhonda, of Rose Hill, KS, and Satina Mullin and husband, Tom, of Rose Hill, KS; four siblings, Arylis Phillips of McPherson, KS, Quincy Taylor of McPherson, KS, Mary Simmons and husband, Neal, of Ponca City, OK, and Juanita Hanson and husband, Steve, of McPherson, KS; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Ancil; sister, Marjorie Florine; and former wife, Janice.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor James Gillespie officiating. Inurnment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Park, McPherson.
