Pearl Walters

Mr. Pearl A. Walters, 97, of San Rafael, CA, died Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the Smith Ranch Care Center in San Rafael, CA. He was born November 28, 1909, at Colwich, Kansas, the son of Commodore Perry and Theodosia (Ogle) Walters. He was a retired Civil Engineer, working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Pearl graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in San Rafael, CA.

The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 18, 2006, at the Upchurch Cemetery in Norwich, Kansas. There will be no visitation.

His survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Johnnie Walters of Huntsville, AL, Carolina Seaman of Lester, AL, and Joyce Anderson of Dillon, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Muril Hodge, and a brother, Leonard L. Walters.
