Patricia Grother

Patricia M. "Pat" Grother, 79, of McPherson died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

Pat was born August 30, 1927, in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar R. and Valerie (Post) Larson. She had been a resident of McPherson since 1945, formerly of Lindsborg, Kansas. She graduated from Lindsborg High School in 1945. She was a service representative for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1981 after 36 years.

Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Telephone Pioneers, and was the first inductee into the McPherson Women's Bowling Hall of Fame.

The funeral will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Marion and Rev. Bob Fleenor officiating. Burial will be at McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The casket will be open at the church prior to the funeral. The McPherson VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary will conduct their respective rituals at the church.

Survivors include a niece, two nephews, a sister-in-law, and longtime friend, Aileen Eaton, of McPherson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Oscar R. Larson, Jr.
