Otis C. Koehn, 84, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at McPherson Care Center. He was a lifetime Canton-Galva resident. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired drill press operator, working at American Maplan.
Otis was born on October 31, 1926, in Galva, KS, the son of David C. and Lena (Ratzlaff) Koehn. On June 29, 1954, he was united in marriage to Arletta Mae Becker in McPherson, KS.
He was a member of the Canton American Legion.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Minister Cyrus Wedel officiating. Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery, Galva, KS. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Survivors include: his wife, Arletta of the home; sons, Jeffrey Koehn of McPherson, KS, Jarold Koehn and wife, Linda, of Canton, KS, and Jay Koehn and wife, Angel, of Canton, KS; daughter, Joan Norden and husband, Jim, of Salina, KS; brother, Elton Koehn and wife, Susie, of Galva, KS; sister, Leola Koehn and husband, Henry, of Montrose, CO; seven grandchildren, Shawn Koehn, Sara Hiebert, Tina Kueser, Jes Koehn, Alyssa Koehn, Amanda Norden, and Cody Norden; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Edward, Lester, and Wilbur.
