Norma Jean Johnson

Norma Jean Johnson (Bretches) age 77, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2014 following a five year illness with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born in McPherson on March 4, 1936, and lived her entire life in McPherson. Norma was retired from McPherson County Diversified Services. She enjoyed many years of volunteer service supporting the youth of the First Baptist Church and other organizations.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Gladys Johnson.

Norma is survived by: her children Ron, Larry, Mark, and Diane Bretches; six grandchildren; her sister Janet Swenson; nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 13, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, with family present from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 14, at The First Baptist Church, 600 E. Marlin, McPherson. Private burial will take place in McPherson Cemetery.
