Nancy R. Bolin

Nancy R. Bolin, 77, of Salina, KS and formerly of McCook, NE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, surrounded by family at Salina Regional Health Center. She was a homemaker.

Nancy was born on February 3, 1940, in Concordia, KS, the daughter of Clarence W. and Mildred M. (Liedtke) Hurtig. She graduated from Tescott High School, attended one year at K-State, and graduated from Brown-Mackie Business College, Salina. On August 21, 1960, Nancy was united in marriage to Clyde L. Bolin in Tescott, KS. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2008.

She attended Belmont Blvd. Christian Church in Salina. Nancy had many enjoyments in life which included playing bridge & board games, attending plays at the community theater, collecting southwest art, and babysitting her granddog, Dash. She also enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to see many parts of the United States. Nancy was also a football and basketball fanatic.

Survivors include: her son, Mark L. Bolin and wife, Jan, of Salina, KS; siblings, Tom Hurtig and wife, Edie, of Salina, KS and Jane Hurtig and partner, Barb Price, of Kingston Springs, TN; two step-grandchildren, Jon Long and fiancé, Ruthie Johnson, of Kansas City, KS and Katie Houser and husband, Eric, of Topeka, KS; nephew, Chris Hurtig and wife, Kylie, of Wichita, KS; niece, Tami Willson and husband, T.J., of Belton, MO; nephew, Bill Hurtig and wife, Darcie, of Tescott, KS; four great-nieces & great-nephews; numerous cousins; and granddog, Dash.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; and brother, Jimmy Hurtig.

The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Belmont Blvd. Christian Church, 2508 Belmont Blvd, Salina, KS 67401. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 30, at Belmont Blvd. Christian Church with Rev. Tara Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery, Culver, KS.
