Mary Lois Kenton, 99, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021, with family by her side at her home in McPherson. She was a pharmaceutical operator, retiring in 1995, from Sterling Drug/Sanofi Winthrop.

Mary was born on October 9, 1921, in Groveland, KS, the daughter of Frank G. and Hessie (Fritz) Stansel. She received her education from Groveland School. On January 24, 1948, Mary was united in marriage to Eugene Cecil Kenton in McPherson, KS. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1981.

She was a member of McPherson Hospital Volunteer Services.

Survivors include: her children, Sheryl Railsback (Gene) of McPherson, KS, Marsha Rageth of McPherson, KS, Stan Kenton of McPherson, KS, and Winston Kenton (Sally) of Wichita, KS; ten grandchildren, Gina McGowan (Shawn) of Ellsworth, KS; Juli St. Peter (Scott) of McPherson, KS, Dustin Rageth (Quinlan) of McPherson, KS, Drew Rageth of McPherson, KS, Megan Smith (Clinton) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Shawna Kenton of McPherson, KS, Miranda Walters (Greg) of McPherson, KS, Beau Kilgariff of Wichita, KS, Chase Kenton of Wichita, KS, and Kree Peña (Emmanuel) of Ecuador; 17 great-grandchildren plus one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Kathryn Achilles, Hazel Montgomery, Orville Stansel, and Elberta Meyer, a daughter, Zelma “Aunt Z” Kenton, and stillborn son, Clarence.

A private family funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
