Margie Hansen

Margie A. (Potter) Hansen, 84, of Hutchinson and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Hutchinson Good Samaritan Center. She was born on May 23, 1925, in Inman, KS, the daughter of Noah H. and Mabel Inez (Hoefer) Potter. On August 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to M.D. "Bo" Hansen. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1993. She was a sales representative for Avon and Watkins Products and also helped out on the family farm.

Margie was a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, McPherson.

The graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: daughters, Beverly Barnes and husband, Larry, of Hutchinson, KS and Marie Lavon Keller of Orangevale, CA; sister, Ruby Walline of McPherson, KS; brother, Robert Potter and wife, Morene, of Hutchinson, KS; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Florence Head.
