Margaret E. Minns

Margaret Ellen Minns, 95, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Sunshine Meadows in Buhler, KS.

She was born on November 10, 1929, in McPherson, KS to Elliott Bamfield and Zelma Bamfield (Padgett). She was married to Robert “Bob” Minns on January 18, 1953.

She is survived by her children, J.D. Minns, Doyle Minns, Doug Minns, and Debbie Schemm (Minns); her grandchildren, Rustin Schemm, Ryan Schemm, and Maggie Newton (Schemm); seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In her death, she joins her parents, Elliott and Zelma Bamfield; husband, Bob Minns; sisters, Betty Ashcraft (Bamfield), Dean Knapp (Bamfield), and Ilene Hanna (Bamfield); and her brother, Wilbur Bamfield.

Margaret was a rural bus driver for the McPherson schools and an award-winning Avon Lady. She loved candy, coloring, and crossword puzzles. She had an amazing sense of humor and a feisty personality. She will be dearly missed. 

A Celebration of Life (come & go) will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
