Margaret "MeMe" J. Kerr

Margaret “MeMe” J. Kerr, 74, of McPherson and formerly of Flower Mound, TX and Burlington, IA, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at McPherson Hospital. She was retired from Iowa Industries.

Margaret was born on January 16, 1941, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Howard F. and Geraldine E. (Noonan) Cloyd. She graduated from Burlington High School. On August 2, 1959, she was united in marriage to Raymond Eugene Kerr in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2009.

MeMe cared dearly about her family and her pride and joy was watching her grandchildren in their various sport and school activities. She was a tireless caregiver for her husband during his extended illness and gave unselfishly for anyone in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and sewing and taught Sunday School.

Survivors include: her son, Chad Kerr and wife, Kim, of McPherson, KS; and three grandchildren, Kiley, Chelsey, and Koby Kerr of McPherson, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and twin sisters, Mary Krekel and Betty Bisinger.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 2, 2015, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Ostlund officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
