Margaret Hazelton

Margaret Ann Hazelton, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was a retired restaurant hostess and waitress.

Margaret was born on September 16, 1946, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Deane E. and Frankie B. (Schafer) Hazelton. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1964 and attended McPherson College.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 20, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Marion officiating. Visitation, with the family present, will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home.

Survivors include: her son, Chris Brooks and wife, Nette, of McPherson, KS; twin brother, Harold Hazelton of McPherson, KS; brother, Richard Hazelton, and wife, Barb, of Grand Junction, CO; sisters, Helen Allison and husband, Denny, of Folly Beach, SC and Virginia Bastedo of Hutchinson, KS; son-in-law, Dennis Embrey of McPherson, KS; two grandsons, Brooks and Zachary Johnson of McPherson, KS; several nieces & nephews; and faithful canine companion, Mandy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janel Embrey.
