Mae Larkin

Mae Larkin, 79, of McPherson, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. She was a homemaker and had been a McPherson resident since 2007.

She was born May 9, 1931, in Longton, Kansas, the daughter of Freddie A. and Mary I. (Weidner) Cory. On September 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Larkin, Sr. at Howard, Kansas. Three sons were born to this union; Fred, Ronald Jr., and Terry.

Prior to moving to McPherson, the Larkin family lived in the Kansas towns of Winfield, Ness City, Chase, and Attica.

Survivors include: three sons, Fred Larkin (Carla) of Smolan, Kansas, Ronald J. Larkin, Jr. (Carolyn) of Bly, OR, and Terry Larkin (Jolene) of Sterling, KS; two sisters, Helen Dexter of Ellinwood, KS and Phyllis Hembree (Robert) of Ness City, KS; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 10:30 AM Monday, May 16, 2011, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
