Luckey Mckean

Luckey Orian McKean, 87, of McPherson, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at The Cedars, McPherson. He was a former restaurant owner & operator, sales representative for Gooch Feeds, and was a self employed contractor.

He was born on January 27, 1921, at Iola, Kansas, the son of Fredrick Thomas and Eva May (Long) McKean. He served in the U.S. Army dring WWII. He was a resident of McPherson since 1961 and formerly of Ottawa, Kansas.

He was a life member of V.F.W. #2715 and member of the American Legion Post #24.

The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 14, 2008, at Crestwood Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Friday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.

His survivors include: sons, Kevin McKean of McPherson and Gordon J. Finney of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Nancy Belknap of McPherson, Nikki Simpson of Caney, KS, and Marguerite Crockett of McPherson; nephew, Rev. Billy McKean of Gardner, KS; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Tom McKean, and four brothers.
