Loren Jay Keagle, 92, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, surrounded by family at The Cedars in McPherson.
Jay was born on May 12, 1932, in McPherson, KS, the son of William Aubrey Keagle, Sr. and Neva Pearl (Johnson) Keagle. He graduated in 1953 from Canton High School. On November 11, 1956, Jay was united in marriage to Marilee Kemp in McPherson. This union was blessed with four daughters, Debbie, Lori, Kelly, and Stephanie.
He worked and retired from CertainTeed where he worked in quality control for 28 years. Prior to CertainTeed, he was a milkman for United Dairies.
He was a member of New Gottland Covenant Church, McPherson.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marilee; three daughters, Lori (Phil) Havens of McPherson, KS, Kelly (Hal) Havens of Lenexa, KS, and Stephanie (Darren) Whitcher of Lenexa, KS; seven grandchildren, Josh (Christy) Havens, Derek (Courtney) Havens, Audrey (Matthew) Benham, Kasey (Curtis) Wiglesworth, Brian (Kay) Havens, Abigail Whitcher, and Samuel Whitcher; 11 great-grandchildren, Lila, Jake, Teddy, Quinn, Xander, Nathan, Cody, Caleb, Landon, Graham, and Violet; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Boomhower; and five siblings, William Keagle, Jr., Dean Keagle, Warren Keagle, Bonnie Westbrook, and Beverly “Jolene” Clark.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating. A private graveside service will be held at McPherson Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Care Hospice or New Gottland Covenant Church in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
