Lola T. Hollowell, 101, of Inman and formerly of Hutchinson and South Hutchinson, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Harvest House/Pleasant View Home in Inman. She was a homemaker and former concessionaire at Davenport’s Auction House in Hutchinson.
Lola was born on November 29, 1909, in Stafford County, Kansas, the daughter of Archie Cornelius and Estella (Ingram) Hall. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1929. On April 19, 1930, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Hollowell in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1988.
Lola was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and T.O.P.S. Club.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 22, at the Fairview Cemetery near Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: a son, Richard “Dick” Hollowell (Vicky) of Hutchinson; two daughters, Karen Bridgewater of Newton and Judy Crupper (Jim) of Gilbert, AZ; six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, twin stillborn infant daughters, two brothers, three sisters, grandson, Robert Bridgewater, and son-in-law, Richard Bridgewater.
