Galva, KS

Lindsay Lee Oliver, 41, of Galva, KS and formerly of McPherson, KS, entered the arms of Jesus on Friday, June 7, 2024.

 

Lindsay was born on June 11, 1982, in Moundridge, KS, the daughter of Ronald Ray and Joyce Elaine (Plenert) Gingrich.  She graduated from Calhan High School (Colorado) in 2000.   She continued her education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO, received her bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado  in Colorado Springs and a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University.

 

She was a Special Education Teacher at the Canton-Galva Jr./Sr. High School and formerly at the McPherson Middle School. Lindsay was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson.

 

On July 7, 2021, Lindsay was united in marriage to Joshua Oliver at the Margaritaville Resort in Missouri. 

 

She leaves behind her loving husband, Joshua; children, Ethan Harrington, Blake Harrington, Afton Harrington, and Haven Oliver;  mother, Joyce Gingrich of McPherson, KS; siblings, Jenny Gingrich, Adam Gingrich, and Cody Bacon, all of McPherson, KS; parents-in-law, Jim & Bernie Oliver of Canton, KS; brother-in-law, Jason Oliver of Canton, KS; grandmother, Millie Stucky of McPherson, KS; the father of Ethan, Blake, & Afton, Jeremy Harrington of McPherson, KS; and many extended family members and a host of friends.

 

Last but not least, she is survived by her six fur babies.   There was never a rescue animal Lindsay did not want.

 

Lindsay was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Gingrich, and grandparents, Roland & Etta Mae Plenert.

 

Lindsay’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 2350 US Highway 56, Galva, KS.  Food will be served.

 

A savings account has been set up for the children’s education.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the fund should be made payable to Josh Oliver with “Harrington Kids Education Fund” in the memo line and can be mailed to Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
