Linda L. Graves

Linda Lee Graves, 70, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at her home in The Villages, Florida. She was a former Salina resident and had worked for Waddell & Reed and also at Country Hill Bank in Lenexa.

She was born September 12, 1948, in Salina, the daughter of Richard L. and Delores J. “Dee” (Hunter) Palmer. She graduated from Salina High School and attended Avila University in Kansas City, MO before earning her Master’s Degree from Marymount College in Salina.

On August 18, 1979, she married John Joseph “Jay” Graves in Wichita, Kansas.

Survivors include: husband, Jay; a daughter, Jodi Alberici (Mario) of Pueblo West, CO; step-children: Michael Graves of Salina, KS, Debi Young (Ronny) of Gary, TX, Doug Graves (Peggy) of Salina, KS, and Jason Graves (Cathy) of Salina, KS; grandchildren, Kyle Patnode (Cristina) and Katie Watson (Shaq); great-grandchildren, Asher & Wren Patnode and Scarlett Watson; step-grandchildren, Blake Young, Cassidy Graves, Brian Graves, Justin Graves, Paige Hieger, Sam Hieger, and Parker Graves; brother, Delbert Palmer (Deb) of Salina, KS; a sister, Shirley Krehbiel (Larrel) of Salina, KS; a brother-in-law, Carl Hardesty (Maria) of Salina, KS; nieces & nephews, Jennifer Babcock (Troy) of McPherson, KS, Jason Hardesty of Lenexa, KS, David Hardesty of Salina, KS, Tyler Palmer of Lawrence, KS, and Sarra Reeves, of Salina, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charlotte Hardesty.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 19, at the First United Methodist Church in Salina with Rev. Doug Birdsong officiating.
