LaVonne B. Anderson

LaVonne B. Anderson, 97, formerly of McPherson, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River. She was a homemaker.

She was born April 14, 1915, in Eskridge, Kansas, the daughter of George W. and Lillie B. (Phillips) Warren. Mrs. Anderson has been a McPherson resident most of her life.

On March 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to Eldon B. Anderson in Claycomo, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1994.

LaVonne was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Ruth Circle.

Survivors include: a son, Kenneth Anderson of Fairplay, CO; a sister, Mildred McPhail; half-brothers, George William Warren and Tom Warren; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Sharron Anderson and Judy Davison, and a half-brother, Gene Doty.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Marion will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Roxbury, Kansas. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
