Kinley Redell Cobb, 64, of Galva, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. His early passing was due to a brain aneurism.

Kinley was born at Hamilton Air Force Base, California, on December 2, 1950. He attended Galva Rural High School and graduated in May 1969. He then attended Emporia State Teachers College before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served more than four years with the Air Force, performing duties as an administrative specialist with one year at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand.

He then pursued numerous business activities and spent about ten years as a farm manager at his parents’ farm near Galva. He was active with the McPherson American Legion Post #24 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2715.

Survivors include: a brother, Marck Cobb and wife, Francine, of Galva; and two nephews, Robert Cobb and wife, Nicole of Los Angeles, CA and Layton Cobb, and wife, Lika of Tbilisi, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmon R. "Tony" and Barbara L. (Holderman) Cobb, a brother, Richard, and a sister, Reba.

Private family services were held on Sunday, May 3, 2015. A public memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, May 5, at the Sugar Creek School, 1558 21st Ave.,Galva, KS.
