Kevin Lee Bruner, Sr., 60, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home in McPherson. Kevin was a warehouse material handler for Pfizer in McPherson.
Kevin was born on December 13, 1962, in Columbia, MO, the son of Ralph Eugene and Donna Sue (Byrd) Bruner. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1981. Kevin was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Wright on March 31, 2002. This union was blessed with two sons, Aubrey and Kevin, Jr.
Kevin was a devoted husband and father, a true role model of what a diligent, dedicated man is suppose to be! Working thirty-five years straight and hardly taking any days off! Trish was his best friend. Their bond was powerful, a true example of unconditional love! They supported one another through the good and the bad. FAMILY meant the world to him. He always made time for his wife and two boys. He was a God-fearing man and made sure to include any and everyone’s kids like his own.
Looking back at some of his happiest memories, at the forefront, is watching his boys play BALL. Music was his moonlight on a gloomy night. He loved dancing around the house with Trish. If you found yourself driving down Gildersleeve, you would hear some loud music bumpin’! All the local fishermen called him Crappie Kev! No matter what the forecast was, you would see him at the broken bridge putting a hurtin’ on some crappie, or he would be half asleep in a deer blind. He was also a grill master at best!
Kevin is known for his contagious smile! Today, we come together to celebrate Kevin Lee Bruner, Sr. and his legacy of love, happiness, and laughter, an honorable man that will be missed by so many!
On behalf of our family, we thank you all for your prayers, care, kindness, and presence!
